![]() ![]() Subnautica is an underwater open world adventure game. Craft equipment, pilot submarines, and out-smart wildlife to explore lush coral reefs, volcanoes, and cave systems. ![]() I only noticed it was in release when I was searching for a new game to play and it was in most top games in 2018 so far. Subnautica is an underwater open world adventure game. I know it's been out a few years in early access, but wanted to wait for release or if it even would come to fruition. The water teems with life: Some of it helpful, much of it harmful. Manage your oxygen supply as you explore kelp forests, plateaus, reefs, and winding cave systems. A place where your Epic Achievements and game progress can be displayed for the world to see. Think of it as your trophy case and friends hub in one. I've had the game for about two months and 200 hours. Subnauticas oceans range from sun drenched shallow coral reefs to treacherous deep-sea trenches, lava fields, and bio-luminescent underwater rivers. Everyone with an Epic Games account now has access to the new My Achievements area, that lets you display a few key highlights from your stats. I enjoyed it enough, I may play it through again and take more time to check things out and build a fancy base or two, until I find another interesting game to play.īut time isn't really an issue. I guess it doesn't matter now as I've completed the game. These kinds of games are really only playable once, so if I use spoilers, then I finish sooner and then I end up feeling I didn't get my money's worth. or using spoilers as an achievement shouldn't even be used in the first place.Īnd no, I don't like spoilers. but to lock them down for the whole game is really pointless. I could see unlocking achievements when you reach certain points in the game so you don't get an accidental spoiler. Achievements should be more of a learning tool to a game to give direction. It's the opposite, It is just haphazard happenstance. ![]() So, getting an achievement from a random event isn't an achievement at all. When you reach a goal, then you have achieved something. An achievement is more of a set of goals or a goal. ![]()
